I had tried powerlifting and loved it, but found traditional gyms draining for sensory and social reasons. Previous trainers seemed to take a ‘military’ approach and focus on size and weight. So I was overjoyed when I found Lauren and her private gym, and our sessions have positively changed my relationship with exercise and my body.
I find Lauren to be inclusive in her approach and celebrate diversity and she removes a lot of barriers to exercising for neurodivergent people. Lauren is mindful of adapting the environment to your preferences (noise level/music/lighting) and is very attuned to energy levels-being happy to chat and laugh together (she can be *quite* funny😉) or having a more quiet and relaxed session if I’m talked-out from work. Lauren is sensitive to what I feel able to do on a given day, which is important with chronic health conditions, and I appreciated her high level knowledge of women’s health issues.
